It's times like these that i need to sit back and evaluate my life:

What I do, who i hang out with and who i want to be.

less then 3 weeks until spring break, then I'm home free.

I keep getting asked the same question almost weekly:

"did you dye your hair?"

I am one of the few people in the world that have never dyed their hair.

Yet, I am always asked this question.

Perhaps I am channeling my inner reptile and am a chameleon.

Maybe that is the culprit?

Further, is it rude to ask someone if they dyed their hair?

Geez! It's been raining for 3 whole days now! The weather must know how I'm feeling

today, i totally took a rain day and sat inside and did nothing.
well, I did some stuff:
watched Degrassi, Sweet 16, shot at love with Tila Tequila
Learned the Soulja Boy Dance
Discovered some new bands

now I'm reading this book about the music industry for my internship i start tomorrow!!

ok, so only in Bakersfield would this happen.

i was driving my grandpa to Best Buy, which is, coincidentally, next to Wal-Mart.
So, we had to drive by the entrance to Wal-Mart.
Which has alot of people and traffic.
aaaaand, the car in front of me was a taxi and it stops in front of Wal-Mart, holding up all the traffic.
Then, this large oildale family piles out of the taxi and takes 5 mins to unload all their bags and get their 4 kids out.

only in Bakersfield would a family take a taxi to Wal-Mart.

for some reason, my ipod is refusing to play "get low" by Flo Rida and T-Pain.
"shorty got them apple bottom jeans and the boots with the furrrrr"

I've downloaded it multiple times and it just plays 15 seconds and then stops. gosh!

maybe it's trying to tell me something??

the perks of being a wall flower [29 Oct 2007|11:03pm]
[ mood | bouncy ]

i read this from a bulletin post on myspace by 'to write love on her arms,' its kinda powerful. I'm excited because i finally got one of their shirts today :)

We talk a lot about not being alone, being in it together, etc... and i like the idea of a whole bunch of us, in a thousand different places, reading this book, feeling whatever we feel, finding whatever we find, but doing it together, and knowing that in that moment, we're not alone and we're part of a bigger thing.

Here's the second, third and fourth paragraphs on the opening page of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower":

"I just need to know that someone out there listens and understands and doesn't try to sleep with people even if they could have. i need to know that these people exist.

I think you of all people would understand that because i think you of all people are alive and appreciate what that means. At least i hope you do because other people look to you for strength and friendship and it's that simple. At least that's what I've heard.

So, this is my life. And i want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be."

amaaazing day. first the singer from cute is what we aim for commented me back on myspace...score!

then, i went to see mxpx at chain reaction with Francis. Aaron, the sound guy for ASI productions got us in free. Then i saw this other sound guy that my friend knows and i told him "my friend knows you," thus, we started a friendship, his name is mikey. I got the new new year's day cd and the singer signed it. The whole show, i got to stay in the light booth, so i saw the whole thing! After the show, we waited around and got to go backstage to meet the band because mikey let us. I took pics with all the guys from Mxpx and they posed all fun for me. Then, i went outside and met Francis's friend Craig, he's in a band called No one goes home. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever met AAnd he's from Detroit.

Its fun meeting random people and having adventurous nights.

Tomorrow night: goodbye luna show and i get to take pictures!

Geez, I'm going to too many shows!

Next up: Jack's Mannequin/ Dashboard Confessional AND boys like girls....possibly paramore and the startingline too!

Oh, and my first article got published in the daily titan. Its a small article about the humanities buildings...its a start!

I'm a freelance photographer for them, too!

Stars should not be seen alone.
That's why there are so many.
Two people should stand together and look at them.
One person alone will surely miss the good ones.

so, you know technology has taken over the world when stuff like this happens:

so, i was taking orders at innout, when this guy comes up and hands me his cellphone and says "she's going to tell you what she wants."

and, i'm like...oook. He even told his friend my name, and she said, "hi lindsay!" like we were old friends. geez, she just wanted a hamburger.

oh, and during the vmas, there was this nike women's soccer commercial that was at the soccer fields at CSUF!! awesome!! i was like..."that's our school!!"

i went to IKEA with the roommates, had alot of fun. i love this year :)

So, yes, I have made the decision to make my journal private. It seems as if no one really understands me. And, honestly, if i can't be myself and write my thoughts in my journal, then this would just be a censored version of me.

Goodbye for now.

So...first it was Bond University..now its University of New South Wales. awesome..and its in Sydney. wee.

i can do this.
